hirify.global develops advanced sensing and detection solutions for aerospace, defense, commercial air operations, and border protection using Coherent Distributed Networks.

What you will do

  • Support prototyping and mechanical integration of electronics, enclosures, effectors, launchers, mechanisms, and support equipment into ground- and sea-mobile platforms.
  • Design mechanical structures, frames, mounts, enclosures, and mechanisms subject to shock, vibration, thermal, and environmental constraints.
  • Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and interface control documentation for multidisciplinary system integration.
  • Perform first-order structural and thermal analyses and allocate requirements under senior engineering guidance.
  • Support system integration, qualification, acceptance, installation, alignment, and fit-check activities.
  • Interface with customers, platform providers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners while supporting production transition, configuration control, and fielded-system sustainment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, completed or expected within the next few months.
  • Coursework, internship, co-op, or project experience in mechanical design, structures, or system integration.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks for assemblies and top-down design.
  • Foundational understanding of mechanical interfaces, tolerancing, alignment, installation practices, and structural analysis methods such as hand calculations or FEA.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a multidisciplinary, multi-project environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ruggedized hardware, military standards such as MIL-STD-810, or environmental qualification.
  • Experience with mechanisms and actuation systems, including linkages, bearings, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, gimbals, or rotary joints.
  • Familiarity with FEA or multiphysics tools such as NASTRAN, ABAQUS, ANSYS, CFD codes, or COMSOL.
  • Hands-on prototyping experience with additive manufacturing, CNC machining, or other fabrication techniques.
  • Familiarity with military-style connectors and participation in engineering clubs, competitions, or research projects.

Culture & Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits fully paid by the company.
  • 401(k) with a 50% company match up to 6% of pay, plus FSA, HSA, and life insurance.
  • Free daily lunch, unlimited PTO, casual dress code, and no-meeting Fridays.
  • Competitive base salary, pre-IPO stock options, relocation assistance, and planned annual bonuses.
