Workday Configurator - Payroll (Workday)

Location: Davidson, North Carolina, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with flexible work location on Fridays

Salary: $84,740–$137,200 annual base salary

What you will do

• Design, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Workday Payroll features and enterprise processes.
• Represent cross-team initiatives and collaborate with product configurators, Product Owners, and Product Leads.
• Review feature specifications, business requirements, Workday tenants, and configuration designs to identify optimization and adoption opportunities.
• Research stakeholder needs, usage data, Workday concepts, and roadmap developments to support design and prioritization decisions.
• Provide consulting, demonstrations, Office Hours guidance, presentations, and configuration recommendations to stakeholders.
• Ensure payroll solutions address compliance, security, scalability, user experience, integrations, and downstream process impacts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with HCM systems, preferably including meaningful Workday Payroll support or configuration experience.
• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise processes and enabling systems.
• Mastery of one or more Workday product areas, with strong preference for Workday Payroll expertise.
• Strong functional and technical understanding of Workday architecture, including Business Process Framework, security, user interface, reporting, and integrations.
• Experience with payroll configuration, process flows, payroll-related security, testing, stakeholder support, research, prototyping, and Agile delivery.
• Strong analytical, organizational, collaboration, communication, and self-directed problem-solving skills.
