Business Systems Analyst V (Healthcare)

Location: San Diego headquarters or another company location; remote work is available only with management approval based on business requirements. Core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility for nights, weekends, or holidays when required.

Salary: $85,356–$145,107 per year.

What you will do

• Interview internal and external clients and end users to define requirements for complex software modifications and enhancements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, business rules, flow charts, report mock-ups, and use cases.
• Facilitate design sessions with business and technical stakeholders and recommend process and product improvements.
• Lead projects, develop plans, prioritize work, track progress, and maintain accountability for delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Perform user acceptance testing and coordinate with software development, QA, vendor, and support teams.
• Provide technical consultation and mentor less experienced Business Systems Analysts.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree and 8+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including 4 years as a subject-matter expert.
• Working knowledge of SQL using Oracle and SQL Server syntax, relational databases, client-server concepts, and data query tools such as TOAD and SQL Server Management Studio.
• Experience with software development life cycle, business analysis best practices, business process management, requirements elicitation, and project planning.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, NCPDP standards, use-case modeling, solutions requirements, activity diagrams, and swim-lane diagrams.
• Strong communication, customer service, negotiation, facilitation, problem-solving, and interviewing skills.

Nice to have

• Certified Business Analysis Professional certification.
• Understanding or experience with Apache Superset.
• Experience with SSRS, Tableau, Visio, Java, OLTP, AIX/Solaris, and integrated development platforms.
