TL;DR
TypeScript Backend Engineer (Financial Infrastructure): Building reliable, high-volume transaction systems and scalable backend infrastructure with an accent on payments, APIs, distributed systems, and complex financial integrations. Focus on making foundational architecture decisions, owning deployment and reliability end to end, and designing systems that remain dependable at scale.
Location: Onsite in New York City, United States; EST timezone; US work authorization required
Salary: Up to $250,000 USD per year

What you will do
- Design and build core backend systems handling high-volume transactions.
- Own APIs, infrastructure, deployment, and reliability end to end.
- Integrate backend services with complex external financial systems.
- Drive backend architecture and engineering best practices.
- Build critical infrastructure from the ground up within a small senior team.
Requirements
- Production experience with payments infrastructure.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience preferred.
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js backend experience.
- Experience building scalable, distributed systems.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and work onsite in NYC.
Nice to have
- Experience with crypto, Solana, or Rust.
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Temporal.
