Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: United States (Remote); remote-friendly within the US.

Salary: $130K–$160K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build resilient backend services for fraud detection, identity verification, and transaction monitoring.
• Develop, test, and maintain APIs supporting real-time risk and fraud prevention.
• Design and deploy systems that protect customer accounts and financial transactions with product managers and engineers.
• Integrate third-party risk and compliance platforms through secure data flows.
• Contribute to architecture decisions balancing scale, security, and reliability.
• Create documentation supporting collaboration and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience, ideally in fintech, payments, or customer-facing systems.
• Experience building and maintaining APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Kubernetes and database technologies.
• Drive, proactivity, and a builder-oriented approach.
• Role is remote within the US.

Nice to have

• Experience with risk, fraud, or compliance systems.
• Familiarity with Node, TypeScript, NestJS, Kubernetes, AWS, or modern software engineering practices.
