Banking Services Operations Associate III - Credit Bureau Dispute

What you will do

• Respond to inbound credit bureau disputes received from reporting agencies or customers for one product type: mortgage or consumer lending.
• Perform data entry, system updates, validation, reconciliations, and standardized exception processing.
• Conduct mid-level research and initiate or respond to standard requests supporting dispute resolution.
• Communicate with internal and external customers, credit reporting agencies, and vendors.
• Draft procedures and customer email or letter communications as needed.
• Identify risk-related issues for escalation and maintain internal control and audit standards.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, or at least two years of combined higher education and/or work experience.
• Proven customer service experience.
• Proficiency with personal computers, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to comply with FCRA, FCBA, CDIA guidance, and applicable credit reporting and loan servicing regulations.

Nice to have

• At least one year of relevant experience.
• At least one year of credit bureau or collections experience.
• Experience with or knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
