Associate Material Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Columbia, South Carolina, 5 days per week

What you will do

• Procure production, inventory, MRO, and indirect materials while managing COUPA transactions.
• Coordinate drop-ship and outside-processing orders, monitor supplier performance, and expedite deliveries.
• Resolve supplier issues involving delivery, quality, pricing, invoices, and accounts payable discrepancies.
• Maintain PFEP master data covering sourcing, storage, packaging, labeling, and replenishment parameters.
• Analyze shortages, forecast risk, lead times, inventory exposure, and opportunities for Kanban or supplier replenishment programs.
• Support inventory reduction, process audits, ordering audits, 5S boards, and plant MDI activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain, materials management, manufacturing, or warehouse operations.
• High school diploma required; a BS/BA in business or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with operations, inventory management, MRP, lean manufacturing, Kanban, and visual management.
• Strong knowledge of Kanban systems and PFEP, with proficiency in ERP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong Excel, analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in an on-site manufacturing environment five days per week.

Nice to have

• APICS CPIM or equivalent certification.
• Prior experience with supplier processes and capabilities.
