Material Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: US-SC-Summerville (SAS); onsite manufacturing role

Salary: $25.38–$36.63 per hour

Company

Develops turbine-drive and shipboard compression equipment used on U.S. Navy ships for propulsion, power generation, pump drives, ship service air, oxygen/nitrogen feed air, and deballasting.

What you will do

• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and control material flow across manufacturing work centers.
• Review and execute production schedules using Oracle/MRP and related applications.
• Manage material pick and issue, serialization, lot splits, inventory identity, and traceability.
• Maintain and use bills of materials, drawings, manufacturing instructions, production reports, and project schedules.
• Initiate material and service requisitions, coordinate purchasing releases and delivery schedules, and address supply interruptions.
• Participate in readiness, demand, sourcing, and project meetings while communicating scheduling conflicts and recommending solutions.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen due to DoD requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances and approvals.
• Bachelor’s degree and experience in materials management, manufacturing planning, or scheduling.
• 4–6 years of stockroom, expediting, and capacity-planning experience.
• Knowledge of ERP, MRP, and Microsoft Office; strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds to waist height and transport them 10 feet.
