Senior Relationship Banker (Financial Services)

Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States of America; onsite branch work with face-to-face customer interaction.

Salary: $27.59–$45.98 hourly (USD)

What you will do

• Develop, expand, and retain retail and business customer relationships through proactive outreach, portfolio management, appointments, and referrals.
• Assess customer needs, explain banking products and services, and support solutions involving consumer debt, mortgages, HELOCs, Business Banking, treasury management, and merchant services.
• Evaluate financing requests, recommend loan structures, and submit complete loan application packages.
• Build referral relationships with community contacts, centers of influence, business bankers, mortgage loan originators, and other business partners.
• Maintain compliance and risk controls, including KYC, CIP, fraud prevention, audit requirements, internal controls, and Federal SAFE Act registration requirements.
• Support branch sales goals while resolving customer needs and service issues accurately and promptly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus either 3 years of retail sales, call center, customer service, or telesales experience, or 2 years of proactive sales experience.
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, customer service, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated financial services product knowledge and the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
• Proficiency with internet user-level technology and standard communication tools.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, use hands and fingers for prolonged periods, read fine print, and lift objects weighing 5–30 pounds.
• Ability to work with customers in an open, face-to-face branch environment in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Nice to have

• Associate degree.
• Notary public license.
• At least 3 years of financial services sales experience.
• Additional language skills based on branch needs.
