HVAC Rental Service Technician

Location: On-site in Shorewood, Illinois, 5 days per week

Salary: $19.53–$58.59 per hour

What you will do

• Test, start up, commission, and service assigned rental HVAC projects.
• Serve as the direct customer contact for rental products and equipment at customer locations and the rental services depot.
• Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment and systems while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with team leaders and customers on installation and repair requirements, building layouts, materials, and on-site work.
• Use software, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
• Maintain strict safety standards and accurate records for company-issued and procured assets; work overtime and occasional overnight stays as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of commercial HVAC experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones or iPads.
• Knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts.
• Ability to work on-site five days per week and accommodate overtime and occasional overnight stays.

Nice to have

• EPA certification, such as HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, or Gas Installer certification.
