DC Cx Technician (HVAC, Plumbing & Controls)

Location: Remote within the United States; requires approximately 30–45% local and national travel to commissioning sites.

Salary: $28.80–$43.00 per hour, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Support commissioning leads with jobsite observations, fieldwork, functional testing, and equipment verification.
• Prepare field reports, project documentation, checklists, commissioning plans, specifications, and Owner’s Project Requirements documents.
• Develop MEP commissioning and functional performance test procedures.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and associated control systems.
• Maintain digital project files, tracking systems, meeting schedules, minutes, presentations, and project communications.
• Assist with condition assessments and basic engineering calculations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Teams.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English clearly and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong organization, prioritization, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to commissioning projects.
