Technical Project Manager

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise software development platform projects, from architecture and build/buy analysis through integration and production deployment.
• Coordinate internal teams, business stakeholders, technical leads, analysts, and third-party vendors across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Define project scope, objectives, milestones, dependencies, resource models, and critical paths.
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, spend tracking, variance reporting, and financial escalations.
• Control changes to scope, schedule, and costs using PMI-aligned processes; track KPIs and earned value.
• Identify and mitigate risks, manage vendor performance, and communicate delivery status to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an associate degree with equivalent professional experience.
• At least five years of technical project management experience, including software development platform implementations or modernization.
• Proficiency in PMI principles, formal budgeting, cost management, schedule control, and earned value analysis; PMP or equivalent PMI certification required.
• Working experience in the Employee Benefits industry, including at least four years supporting pharmacy management, PBM, or medical/provider operations.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile, hybrid, and waterfall methodologies, with strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed for corporate projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise data platforms, integration layers, APIs, ETL pipelines, or cloud-based development environments.
• Experience managing vendor-led or outsourced software development engagements.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, HITRUST, and HITECH compliance frameworks.
• Portfolio-level project governance, demand management, and AI-assisted development experience.
