Technical Project Manager

Location: Remote - Texas, United States

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 annual

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise software development platform projects, from architecture decisions and build/buy analysis through integration planning and production deployment.
• Coordinate internal resources, cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, technical leads, analysts, and third-party vendors across concurrent initiatives.
• Define project scope, objectives, milestones, dependencies, resource models, and critical paths.
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, spend tracking, variance reporting, schedules, scope changes, and formal change control.
• Measure project performance using KPIs and earned value management, while identifying, mitigating, and escalating risks.
• Manage vendor contracts, deliverables, accountability, and outsourced software development engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an Associate’s degree with equivalent professional experience.
• At least five years of technical project management experience, including software development platform implementations or modernization efforts.
• Proficiency in PMI principles, formal budgeting, cost management, schedule control, and earned value analysis; PMP or an equivalent PMI credential is required.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple business domains and organizational verticals.
• Working experience in the Employee Benefits industry.
• Understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, hybrid, and waterfall, with the ability to travel as needed for corporate projects.

Nice to have

• Four or more years supporting pharmacy management, Pharmacy Benefits Management, or medical/provider operations.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms, integration layers, APIs, ETL pipelines, or cloud-based development environments.
• Experience with healthcare regulatory and compliance frameworks, including HIPAA, HITRUST, and HITECH.
• Experience with portfolio-level project governance, demand management, vendor-led development, or AI-assisted development environments.
