Technical Release Coordinator

Location: Remote

Salary: $89,800.00–$125,500.00 annually, commensurate with experience and location.

What you will do

• Coordinate scheduled releases, emergency fixes, and out-of-cycle deployments across multiple teams and applications.
• Facilitate release planning, define scope and sequencing, and manage schedules, dependencies, risks, and deployment requirements.
• Prepare release documentation, testing and validation requirements, implementation steps, rollback plans, and change tickets.
• Coordinate mock deployments, infrastructure and environment readiness, production implementation, and post-production verification.
• Direct off-hours release activities, including deployment coordination, status reporting, issue escalation, and resolution.
• Lead release reviews, maintain process documentation, and improve change, build, configuration, and release-management practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• More than five years of technology experience, including one to four years coordinating projects or software releases across multiple teams.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, Agile practices, ITIL practices, change management, and production deployments.
• Hands-on software development experience with object-oriented programming concepts, code merges, branching strategies, build processes, and deployments.
• Strong planning, documentation, risk-identification, problem-solving, communication, and project-coordination skills.
• Ability to participate in scheduled off-hours, weekend, or emergency release activities.

Nice to have

• Experience coordinating releases in a complex enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with automated build and deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and release-management tools.
• Experience supporting Change Advisory Board processes, IT governance controls, infrastructure provisioning, and environment readiness.
• Knowledge of configuration management, source control, and production validation practices.
