Construction Loan Originator (Mortgage Lending)

What you will do

• Convert inbound premium leads and calls into construction mortgage loans.
• Consult with borrowers about current and future financing goals and provide accurate information about rates, programs, and products.
• Collect and review borrower income and supporting loan documentation.
• Take mortgage applications, counsel borrowers, negotiate terms, and participate in all stages of loan origination.
• Manage a personal loan pipeline to meet service, production, and financial goals.
• Evaluate credit requests, monitor market trends, use internal systems, and follow federal and state compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Active NMLS and applicable state licenses under the SAFE Act of 2008.
• 5–10 years of construction sales or construction loan origination experience in a consumer-direct or call-center environment.
• Experience collecting and analyzing borrower income, negotiating, proactively soliciting business, and converting leads or inbound calls.
• Knowledge of retail mortgage products, policies, underwriting, procedures, documentation, and systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; availability for varying hours and overtime when needed.
