Mortgage Lending Officer

What you will do

• Guide members and borrowers through the residential mortgage process from initial inquiry through closing.
• Assess financial situations, explain mortgage and non-home-equity products, and recommend suitable terms and repayment options.
• Review, underwrite, approve, deny, and recommend mortgage applications within established lending limits, including approvals up to $350,000.
• Coordinate complex mortgage transactions with processors, credit analysts, realtors, title agents, appraisers, insurers, correspondents, and other partners.
• Direct lending support specialists and processors in preparing accurate disclosures and closing documents while maintaining at least 97% loan-file quality.
• Build member relationships, originate loans, cross-sell credit union products, and achieve individual and department production goals.

Requirements

• Remote position within the United States.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of current Mortgage Lending Officer experience at a financial institution.
• Prior sales experience.
• Active NMLS Identifier Number required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications, including Excel and Word.
