Manufacture Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes from 3D models and engineering drawings.
• Create machining strategies and Mill/Turn programs for complex aerospace components using 3D CAD/CAM systems.
• Design fixtures and tooling, and support gauging and special tooling approvals.
• Lead and support DFM, DFSS, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, and MSA activities.
• Establish standard operation times, drive Lean improvements, and provide root-cause and non-conformance support.
• Support shop-floor operations, cross-functional engineering work, process package deployment, and a shared morning-shift rotation approximately once every eight weeks.

Requirements

• HNC/HND preferred, or a Level 3 Apprenticeship with at least five years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
• Significant progressive experience in manufacturing or process engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of Mill/Turn machining, with a focus on turning medium-sized parts.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX or Edgecam CAD/CAM, plus SolidWorks or Siemens NX CAD experience.
• Experience with fixture design, tooling selection, NC post-processing, SAP/Solumina, Lean, Six Sigma, DFM, DFSS, APQP, and RCCA.
• BPSS security clearance must be obtained and maintained.

Nice to have

• Experience with wire erosion, deburring, plating and coating processes, or Zoller tool setting.
