Production Supervisor, Composites (Aerospace)

Location: Middle River, Maryland, United States; based at the Space Structures Complex facility.

Base salary: $95,800–$119,800 USD per year, with level and compensation determined by job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

What you will do

• Lead production teams building, assembling, and integrating large assemblies for the Neutron rocket.
• Set job assignments and manage daily tactical and weekly strategic objectives across multiple production work cells.
• Track output, delivery objectives, team capacity, and production schedules.
• Drive improvements that reduce touch time, improve quality, and lower safety risk.
• Manage technician training, safety compliance, PPE use, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Transfer composite manufacturing technologies and training knowledge from New Zealand programs to Maryland.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 5+ years of experience as an operating technician in a test facility, industrial plant, or other technical environment.
• At least 1 year of team leadership experience in a production environment.
• Experience with operations management, daily scheduling, and operating and maintaining complex facility systems.
• Experience with apprentice-style training programs.
• For work in U.S. offices, candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or eligible to obtain applicable export authorizations under ITAR.
• Ability to stand or walk for at least 8 hours, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted.

Nice to have

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• A&P license or composites technical apprenticeship.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, hazardous materials, manufacturing drawings, ERP/MES, and shop-floor management software.
• Experience aligning capacity and resources with development, production, and test-rate forecasts.
