Facility Maintenance Sr. Engineer (Data Center)

Location: Onsite in Omaha, United States. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with regular or as-needed on-call emergency support after normal business hours.

Salary: $49,751–$79,602 base pay per year.

What you will do

• Monitor, operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot data center electrical, mechanical, HVAC, cooling, water, power distribution, generator, UPS, and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, on-demand repairs, building maintenance, and emergency response for facility systems and equipment.
• Evaluate power consumption, ambient temperature, equipment condition, and other factors affecting data center performance.
• Create and manage maintenance work orders, records, technical documentation, inventory, and equipment replacement plans.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, contractors, engineers, property management, and internal teams; supervise contractor work and inspect completed services.
• Identify operational improvements and support maintenance, construction, budgeting, and project planning activities.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience with HVAC, BMCS, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of data center electrical equipment, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS, ATS/STS, PDU, and RPP units.
• Experience with building or property maintenance customer service, troubleshooting tools, digital metering, and diagnostic equipment.
• Problem-solving skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, and the ability to use technology for daily communication and task completion.
• Unrestricted United States work authorization is required; future sponsorship is not available.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds and work in heat, cold, wet or humid areas, confined spaces, high places, loud noise, and around mechanical, chemical, electrical, and industrial hazards.

Nice to have

• Certification in HVAC and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing services.
• Automated Logic Controls BMCS experience.
• Working knowledge of Archibus software and the ability to read blueprints.
