Sr. Technician, Building Operations (HVAC)

Location: Ohio - Columbus, Three hirify.global Plaza; onsite building maintenance environment. The role follows a structured four 10-hour shift schedule and may require overtime, non-standard or rotating shifts, outdoor work, and work at heights.

Salary: $55,700-$103,500 national range; expected starting salary range: $55,700-$83,500 annually.

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair facility infrastructure and equipment.
• Maintain and program digitally controlled building automation and management systems for HVAC equipment, hardware, processors, and software devices.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and structural systems.
• Test water, mechanical, fire, and life safety systems and administer chemical treatment programs.
• Respond to customer service requests, maintenance emergencies, fire system calls, and other facility issues.
• Provide technical direction, training, and guidance to less experienced staff while following applicable safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least four years of related work experience.
• General knowledge of HVAC, mechanical and life safety systems, motor controls, vibration analysis, equipment balancing, and applicable installation and maintenance codes.
• Ability to test and troubleshoot mechanical systems and components and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Ability to lift and carry over 50 pounds, move up to 100 pounds, and perform walking, kneeling, stooping, climbing, balancing, and elevated work.
• Safety-sensitive position subject to random alcohol and drug testing.
