Banking Services Department Manager (Director, Enterprise Payment Operations)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end payment operations across ACH, domestic and international wires, RTP, FedNow, Zelle, and stablecoin-based digital assets.
• Oversee daily operations across multiple sites, including workflow management, capacity planning, service levels, budgets, and performance across cost centers.
• Drive process improvement, automation, workflow enhancements, cost reduction, scalability, and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain payment risk, compliance, fraud prevention, internal controls, audit readiness, and regulatory governance.
• Partner with technology, Treasury Management, Commercial Banking, Retail, Risk, Compliance, Audit, vendors, and payment processors.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5–10 direct reports while managing staffing, training, and talent planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 11 years of relevant experience, or 15 years of combined higher education and relevant experience.
• At least 4 years of managerial experience.
• Strong process improvement, analytical, leadership, communication, project management, and financial management skills.
• Practical knowledge of ACH, wire transfers, real-time payments, digital assets, payment lifecycle, settlement, exception handling, and payment regulations.
• Ability to maintain compliance with NACHA rules, ISO requirements, Reg E, UCC, BSA/AML, OFAC, and fraud prevention protocols.
• Must work from Amherst, New York, United States of America.

• Experience with operational transformation, automation initiatives, payment modernization, or payment orchestration layers.
