Senior Mechanical Engineer - Structures & Cabinetry (HVAC)

Location: Clarksville, Tennessee, United States. Hybrid schedule with onsite work Monday through Thursday and flexible work location on Fridays.

Annual base salary: $89,585–$124,950.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of structural and cabinetry systems for commercial unitary HVAC products from concept and feasibility through prototype, production, and sustaining.
• Design structural steel and sheet metal components, applying manufacturing processes, fastening methods, coatings, sealing strategies, and thermal and mechanical performance requirements.
• Develop and validate designs through FEA, engineering analysis, laboratory testing, test planning, data analysis, and design refinement.
• Ensure products meet applicable requirements and standards, including UL, AHRI, ASHRAE, IBC, and DOE expectations.
• Lead cross-functional product development, root cause analysis, field issue resolution, standard work, and reliability initiatives.
• Identify performance and cost improvements, lead design changes, and provide technical leadership to engineers, designers, and laboratory technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience leading technical product design projects, validation testing, and root cause analysis.
• Expertise in structural steel and sheet metal design.
• Experience delivering and leading technical designs that meet project and product requirements.
• Ability to work onsite Monday through Thursday in Clarksville, Tennessee.
