Entry Level Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Hybrid, based in Atlanta, GA; Clifton Park, NY; Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ; or Seattle, WA. Travel to project sites may be required for less than 10% of working time.

Base compensation: $45,000–$150,000 per year, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.

What you will do

• Produce detailed mechanical design documents using Autodesk Revit.
• Assist with airside and hydronic calculations for multiple mechanical systems.
• Develop airflow and hydronic flow diagrams and learn to select and specify HVAC equipment.
• Coordinate mechanical design elements with electrical, telecommunications, fire protection, plumbing, architectural, civil, and structural disciplines.
• Support project deadlines, conduct independent research, and manage multiple design tasks.
• Participate in training and mentoring while working under the guidance of senior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• Two- or four-year degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology preferred; HVAC construction experience with drafting certification may also be considered.
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently, accept direction, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and meet project deadlines.
• Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams experience.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required, for less than 10% of working time.

Nice to have

• Internship, co-op, or consulting engineering experience.
• Construction industry experience.
• Educational or professional experience using Revit.
• Engineer-in-Training certification.
