Project Engineer II (HVAC)

Location: Willowbrook, Illinois, United States. Onsite Monday through Thursday; choose the work location on Fridays based on work requirements.

Annual base salary: $91,516.66–$148,200. Incentive eligible; not eligible for sales commission.

What you will do

• Collect and analyze building automation controls trend data and utility bill data.
• Validate energy savings and perform ongoing measurement and verification for energy savings and decarbonization projects.
• Analyze onsite measurements and short-term data collected during construction and after retrofits.
• Coordinate measurement and verification activities with local Trane offices.
• Participate in project transition meetings and document project scope, objectives, timelines, customer requirements, and performance periods.
• Assess how contract scope changes affect guaranteed savings and complete assigned work on time and within budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant measurement and verification experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 software.
• Ability to read and interpret utility bills and building energy consumption.
• Experience with commercial HVAC, building automation controls, electrical, and domestic water systems.
• Basic knowledge of International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol concepts and principles.
• Strong communication, organization, self-management, and deadline-management skills.
