Business Systems Analyst

What you will do

• Act as the liaison between business units and IT, translating business needs into functional requirements and technical solutions.
• Gather, analyze, document, prioritize, and obtain sign-off on business requirements and functional specifications.
• Facilitate discussions and workshops to define requirements, workflows, system enhancements, and project priorities.
• Identify and communicate risks, issues, solution strategies, and status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support user acceptance testing, reporting, data extracts, training materials, and end-user training.
• Train, mentor, and support other staff members and peers.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with system implementations, workflow design, requirements gathering, and the software life cycle.
• Required experience in the insurance industry, particularly personal lines and homeowners insurance.
• Experience working with offshore resource models and mentoring or directing peers.
• Ability to travel periodically and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record and required insurance coverage.

Nice to have

• Insurance experience in an MGU environment.
• Experience with Unqork, Solartis, or Salesforce.
