Director, AI & Security Development

Location: Remote - USA

Salary: $210,000–$214,000 annual

What you will do

• Define the strategy, operating model, and service offerings for the AI and Security Development capability.
• Lead the development of AI-powered security agents for detection, triage, investigation, and response.
• Build and scale automation and orchestration across enterprise security technologies.
• Enable security data integration, analytics, and reporting for operational and executive decision-making.
• Establish secure AI development practices and DevSecOps governance.
• Partner with Security Operations, Security Architecture, and GRC while building and leading a high-performing team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, or related technical disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience in leadership roles.
• Experience building or scaling automation, AI/ML, or advanced analytics capabilities.
• Strong background in secure software development, AWS, Azure, or GCP, and API-driven systems.
• Experience with security operations, detection engineering, or incident response workflows.
• Ability to work at strategic and hands-on levels with strong communication and executive presence.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise AI platforms or LLM-based systems.
• Familiarity with AI risk management and governance frameworks.
• Experience in financial services or other regulated environments.
• CISSP, CISM, cloud, or AI certifications.
