Head of AI Solutions (AI)

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $235,000–$350,000 per year, plus bonus and equity eligibility.

Cybersecurity company providing an AI-native platform that protects organizations and processes large-scale security event data.

What you will do

• Build, hire, develop, and lead a technical team of AI solutions engineers, data engineers, and AI product professionals.
• Own intake and prioritization of internal AI opportunities based on business value, feasibility, risk, and reuse.
• Lead discovery and translate business requests into solution architectures, scopes, success measures, dependencies, and effort estimates.
• Allocate engineering, data, and product capacity across virtual build pods and coordinate support from IT, AI Platform, Architecture, Privacy, and Security.
• Review architectures, implementations, evaluations, and production-readiness decisions against standards for security, privacy, reliability, observability, cost, and human oversight.
• Deliver solutions through production, complete handoffs, assess post-launch value, and develop reusable patterns, evaluation assets, and delivery playbooks.

Requirements

• 10+ years designing, building, or deploying production systems, including 3+ years leading technical teams.
• Experience taking LLM-based or agentic solutions from discovery through production, including architecture, integration, deployment, evaluation, and operational readiness.
• Experience leading solutions architecture, applied AI, engineering, platform, or shared-services teams serving multiple business units.
• Strong technical scoping, estimation, prioritization, and capacity allocation skills.
• Working knowledge of agent and tool orchestration, prompt and context design, guardrails, evaluation, data modeling, APIs, identity, and cloud or hybrid deployment.
• Experience hiring and developing senior AI, engineering, data, and product talent, with strong executive judgment and communication.

Nice to have

• Experience building or leading an internal FDE, solutions architecture, applied AI, or enterprise AI delivery organization.
• Validated designs or reference architectures spanning AI models, data, infrastructure, security, and enterprise systems.
• Experience delivering agentic AI for cybersecurity or another high-consequence operational environment.
• Experience deploying AI across cloud, data center, and hybrid environments.
