IT Audit Director (Cyber, AI & Cloud)

Location: Reston, VA / Washington, DC; hybrid with 3 days per week onsite

Salary: $175,000–$239,000 per year plus 35% long-term incentive

What you will do

• Lead and execute complex IT audits across cybersecurity, AI, cloud infrastructure, and resiliency.
• Perform technical testing, risk assessments, and audit analysis.
• Develop audit strategies and present findings to management.
• Use data analytics, automation, and AI to enhance audit testing.
• Coach and mentor IT audit team members.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT audit, IT risk, or information security.
• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity, AI, or cloud infrastructure, including AWS.
• Experience leading complex IT audits from planning through reporting.
• Experience with data analytics, Python, and Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, or Seaborn.
• Experience auditing AI solutions and AI-related risks, including knowledge of agentic AI architectures and risks.
• Strong project management, communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CEH certification.
