Leveraged Finance Associate – Portfolio Management (Commercial Banking)

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of commercial loans and customers with relationship management, credit, and product partners.
• Monitor commercial portfolio credit quality and assign or update risk ratings.
• Analyze financial and business information to assess creditworthiness for loans and credit products.
• Complete financial spreads, performance tear sheets, compliance testing, underwriting, collateral analysis, and portfolio monitoring.
• Conduct industry and market research and present key conclusions in concise written and verbal formats.
• Support Analyst development through training and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in portfolio management or commercial banking.
• Experience with credit analysis, financial statement analysis, financial modeling, risk evaluation, and credit decision-making.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, and software supporting loan underwriting.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Approximately five years of diversified banking experience, including portfolio management and Sponsor and Leveraged Finance exposure.
• Completion of a formalized credit training program.
• Leadership experience in coaching, skill development, and feedback.
