Senior Developer (Java)

Location: Onsite at the Easton office in Columbus, Ohio, or in Dallas, Houston, or Austin, Texas; Detroit, Michigan; or Chicago, Illinois. Candidates in CST or EST are preferred.

Salary: $57,000–$113,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, integrate, and support workflow and case solutions.
• Build Java/J2EE applications and batch processes.
• Develop UI components and client-side functionality with JavaScript and Dojo.
• Design RESTful APIs and integrate applications with backend systems and enterprise platforms.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot database queries to support application functionality and performance.
• Analyze requirements, participate in technical solutioning, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or four additional years of equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of related Java/J2EE development experience.
• Experience with REST API design and development, JavaScript, SQL, and database query development.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, communicate effectively, and collaborate in an enterprise environment.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Dojo framework, IBM FileNet Content Management, IBM Case Manager, or IBM BAW.
• Familiarity with WebSphere Application Server or similar middleware platforms.
• Experience in Agile, DevOps, and enterprise application environments.
