Loss Mitigation Processor (SPOC) (Mortgage Collections)

What you will do

• Act as the single point of contact for borrowers throughout loss mitigation, from package collection and decision-making through closing and foreclosure.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls with delinquent mortgage borrowers while complying with applicable consumer collection laws and regulations.
• Answer account questions, document borrower contacts, and maintain accurate mortgage servicing system records.
• Collect financial information and required documentation, and help borrowers review loss mitigation materials.
• Explain approval and decline decisions, appeal and re-application options, liquidation alternatives, and the foreclosure process.
• Maintain operational risk controls, internal control standards, and audit or regulatory action items.

Requirements

• Four years of combined higher education and/or work experience.
• At least one year of collections or customer service experience.
• Effective and professional phone communication skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Mortgage collections experience.
• Knowledge of M&T systems.
