Collection & Recovery Support Specialist

Location: Tukwila, WA; hybrid schedule after full onsite training, requiring 3 days onsite

Salary: $26.35–$32.12 hourly target pay range; $21.65–$38.03 hourly full pay range

What you will do

• Process charge-offs, account closures, and related system updates and documentation.
• Support loan modifications involving bankruptcy, loss management, and member assistance.
• Coordinate requests and correspondence for external debt management programs.
• Balance and reconcile general ledger activity and report applicable records to Accounting.
• Investigate exception transactions and out-of-balance conditions, identifying accurate resolutions.
• Handle sensitive member and employee information, inquiries, mail, and departmental communications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of operational experience at a financial institution.
• Availability for full-time hours and additional hours when needed.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication and customer service skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with collections, insurance, lending products, bankruptcy, or garnishments.
