Mobile VMU Technician

Location: Field-based work at customer locations within the dedicated area, based in Crawley, West Sussex

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance and repairs on customer vehicle fleets and related ancillary equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete mechanical, electrical, and modification work, ensuring parts are fitted correctly and warranty claims comply with warranty terms.
• Travel between customer sites within the dedicated area and attend sites to carry out repairs.
• Complete job cards, service sheets, timesheets, handovers, and other operational documentation accurately and on time.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external customers and contribute to continuous improvement of methods and operating practices.
• Undertake training to become multi-skilled and support workshop and mobile operations.

Requirements

• Experience or capability in vehicle maintenance, mechanical repair, electrical repair, and diagnostic analysis.
• Ability to work flexibly across customer sites within the dedicated area.
• Ability to follow company safe systems of work and industry and legal health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Ability to complete accurate service records, handovers, and timesheets.
• Commitment to using personal protective equipment and maintaining high housekeeping standards.
