Service Engineer (Birmingham Area) (Gas Engineering)

Location: UK homebased, covering the Birmingham area and B-code postcodes. The role is field-based and includes rotated Saturdays, evenings, and bank holidays.

Salary: £44,984.22 per year plus monthly bonus.

What you will do

• Service, maintain, and repair domestic and commercial gas boilers, heating appliances, and related systems.
• Diagnose faults and deliver first-time fixes while meeting manufacturer and industry standards.
• Commission new installations and optimise appliance performance and efficiency.
• Manage daily field schedules and workloads to meet service-level agreements.
• Provide technical advice and product support to customers, installers, and contractors.
• Complete digital job reports, maintain equipment, and represent Baxi professionally.

Requirements

• ACS Gas qualifications, including CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, or equivalent.
• Experience servicing and repairing domestic gas boilers and heating systems.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel within the designated region.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and Gas Safe regulations.
• Customer service, communication, independent working, basic IT, and digital job-management skills.
