Loss Recovery Representative (Automotive Finance)

Location: On-site in Agoura Hills, California, USA

Salary: $20.50 per hour, plus bonus potential of up to $6,800 monthly based on individual and team performance.

What you will do

• Manage and collect charged-off accounts to recover assets and minimize losses.
• Contact customers through inbound and outbound calls to arrange payment solutions and resolve accounts.
• Negotiate payment plans based on customer circumstances while meeting performance goals.
• Conduct skip tracing to locate customers, vehicles, and potential leads.
• Make strategic decisions regarding repossession and settlements, and assess collateral value.
• Maintain accurate account and vehicle recovery records while collaborating with team members.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in automotive finance, including collections, repossession, and skip tracing.
• Strong skip-tracing, communication, negotiation, written communication, and judgment skills.
• Thorough understanding of state and federal collection laws, including the FDCPA.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
• Typing speed of at least 35 WPM and strong attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent; proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, web-based applications, and online skip-tracing tools.
