Electrical Engineer II (HVAC)

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays.

Annual base salary: $84,740–$118,860

What you will do

• Design unit electrical systems, main and auxiliary control panels, wiring, harness routing, and transformer loads for commercial HVAC products.
• Select and qualify electrical and electromechanical components, including circuit breakers, contactors, overloads, variable frequency drives, starters, sensors, and control electronics.
• Develop laboratory test plans, complete qualification testing, analyze test data, and prepare technical documentation and reports.
• Administer agency and regulatory approval processes and maintain purchased-part drawings and engineering standards.
• Coordinate engineers, designers, and laboratory technicians while managing project schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
• Provide engineering support for product planning, technical support, order fulfillment, safety, assembly, quality, and productivity improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Competency with AutoCAD and/or Creo Schematics.
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and project coordination skills.
• Knowledge of product safety and design standards, including UL/CSA 1995, UL 60335, UL 508, UL 508A, the National Electrical Code, ANSI Z21.47, and ASHRAE 90.1.

Nice to have

• Basic experience with 3D CAD applications such as Creo.
• Strong interest in HVAC applications and refrigeration equipment operating conditions.
