Project Manager - Industrial Automation (Pharmaceutical)

Location: Utrecht, Netherlands; hybrid role

Salary: €3,500–€5,500 gross per month, including a €850 mobility allowance and 8% holiday allowance based on a 40-hour workweek.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of industrial automation projects within scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate approximately 30 engineers and specialists working across bioreactors, utilities, and building management systems.
• Manage communication between the client’s automation department, hirify.global Engineering teams, and third-party contractors.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues while developing contingency plans.
• Ensure project activities comply with GMP guidelines and pharmaceutical regulations, including validation and qualification activities.
• Coordinate resources, workload distribution, and multidisciplinary team collaboration.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a dedicated Project Management role in a technical environment.
• Recognized Project Management certification such as PMP or equivalent.
• Knowledge of industrial automation systems and environments.
• Experience or working knowledge of pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated environments and GMP requirements.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and multidisciplinary team coordination skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Siemens PLC, Emerson DeltaV, or Honeywell HC-900.
