GCM Relationship Manager I - M&A (Global Capital Markets)

What you will do

• Manage client relationships and daily administration for assigned Global Capital Markets accounts and M&A transactions of simple to moderate complexity and risk.
• Monitor account systems, databases, controls, cash flows, fee billing, reporting, and tickler processing.
• Review legal documents and agreements, provide comments to counsel, and coordinate risk monitoring and regulatory compliance with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit.
• Research and resolve client service and control issues while coordinating with internal and external service partners.
• Work with attorneys, financial advisors, interested parties, and alliance or service partners to structure and close transactions.
• Participate in client and sales meetings, support fee proposals and new business opportunities, represent GCM at transaction closings, and cultivate client and referral relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related experience, or a combined minimum of 5 years of higher education and/or work experience including at least 1 year of related experience.
• High proficiency with personal computers and pertinent software.
• Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting legal documents.
• Experience calculating discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
• Familiarity with corporate structures, relevant laws, and regulations.
• Proven problem-solving skills and strong verbal, written, and analytical communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow risk, regulatory, and internal control standards and escalate risk-related issues to management.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of Global Capital Markets client service experience.
• Working toward or already holding CCTS certification.
• Working knowledge of specialized internal software applications.
• Demonstrated ownership of jobs or projects.
