Assistant Manager, Retail (Commercial & Sales)

Location: Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia; on-site

What you will do

• Develop and execute the retail commercial strategy, including plans for parcel volume, revenue, average selling price, customer acquisition, and profitability.
• Drive growth across stores, franchise and reseller outlets, and strategic retail partners by identifying expansion opportunities and improving underperforming locations.
• Lead acquisition of SMEs, retail merchants, e-commerce sellers, and corporate customers while developing direct sales, reseller, and partnership channels.
• Build partnerships with retailers, business centres, e-commerce enablers, and complementary businesses to increase non-marketplace parcel volume.
• Establish sales processes, incentive schemes, performance frameworks, and standardized commercial procedures across the retail network.
• Build commercial dashboards, analyze ROI and profitability, and coordinate with Operations, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.

Requirements

• Diploma with relevant industry experience.
• More than 2 years of experience working in retail stores.
• Professional fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proven experience leading a fully functional team and consistently reaching or exceeding goals.
• Strategic thinking, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to develop creative solutions in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Own transportation is required.

• Mandarin language skills.
