Sr Director, Mergers & Acquisitions (Fintech)

Location: Singapore; hybrid position with office attendance expectations confirmed by the hiring manager

What you will do

• Originate acquisition and strategic investment opportunities across Asia Pacific and maintain a strong pipeline through relationships with founders, investors, bankers, and industry leaders.
• Shape the inorganic growth strategy by analyzing industry trends, emerging businesses, and technologies.
• Lead the evaluation, negotiation, structuring, and execution of M&A transactions and strategic investments.
• Coordinate with product, strategy, technology, finance, legal, and business leaders from opportunity origination through execution and integration planning.
• Conduct strategic, financial, valuation, and synergy analyses and lead cross-functional due diligence.
• Develop recommendations for senior management and executive leadership while managing multiple transactions and broader strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, 10+ years with an advanced degree, or 5+ years with a PhD.
• Preferred: 15+ years with a Bachelor’s Degree, 12+ years with an advanced degree, or 9+ years with a PhD.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in financial modeling, valuation, and synergy analysis.
• Proven experience leading M&A transactions or strategic investments in corporate development, investment banking, or private equity.
• Strong understanding of payments, fintech, or technology sectors, including U.S. and international experience.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executives, lead cross-functional teams, mentor talent, and manage multiple transactions.

• Experience developing relationships with founders, investors, bankers, and industry leaders across Asia Pacific.
• Experience overseeing deals from idea generation through due diligence, negotiations, and integration planning.
