Sr Director, Mergers & Acquisitions (Fintech)

Location: Singapore; hybrid position with office attendance determined by the hiring manager. Travel for projects may reach up to 25%.

What you will do

• Originate acquisition and strategic investment opportunities across Asia Pacific and maintain relationships with founders, investors, bankers, and industry leaders.
• Shape inorganic growth strategy by assessing industry trends, emerging businesses, and technologies.
• Lead the evaluation, negotiation, structuring, and execution of M&A transactions and strategic investments.
• Coordinate with product, strategy, technology, finance, legal, and business leaders from opportunity origination through execution and integration planning.
• Lead strategic, financial, valuation, and cross-functional diligence analyses and present recommendations to senior management.
• Manage multiple transactions and broader strategic initiatives while mentoring junior talent.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, 10+ years with an advanced degree, or 5+ years with a PhD.
• Preferred: 15+ years with a bachelor's degree, 12+ years with an advanced degree, or 9+ years with a PhD.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, synergy analysis, and financial acumen.
• Proven experience leading M&A transactions and strategic investments from idea generation through due diligence and negotiations.
• Understanding of payments, fintech, or technology sectors, with U.S. and international experience.
• Ability to influence executive stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple transactions, and develop junior talent.
