Vice President (Financial Advisory Services)

Location: Birmingham, Michigan, United States; office-based

Salary: $150,000–$165,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for incentive compensation

What you will do

• Advise under-performing and distressed companies across special situations investment banking, turnarounds, performance improvement, restructuring, and interim management.
• Prepare and analyze historical and projected financial information, including 13-week cash flow projections.
• Coordinate detailed business due diligence and manage engagement execution against strict deadlines.
• Build forecasts, financial statements, management presentations, and other client deliverables.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models while supporting engagement marketing and planning.
• Build relationships with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA, CFA, equivalent certification, or strong technical and GAAP accounting expertise.
• At least 4 years of financial advisory and/or corporate restructuring experience.
• Prior experience in mergers and acquisitions and related financial advisory services.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; the employer uses E-Verify.
• Must be able to pass an FBI background check with fingerprinting.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree.
• Operational accounting experience.
• Strong accounting, corporate finance, financial analysis, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and willingness to travel 25–50%.
