Location: Hybrid in Buffalo, New York, United States; in-office work is required four days per week at the One M&T Plaza office.

Salary: $89,600–$149,300 annual USD

What you will do

• Evaluate potential mergers and acquisitions, investments, and divestitures through financial analysis, valuation, structuring, and due diligence coordination.
• Perform discounted cash flow, market multiples, peer, and other financial analyses.
• Conduct complex research, forecasting, and analytical projects for senior management.
• Build and maintain advanced forecasting models and analytical tools in collaboration with business groups.
• Prepare clear written summaries and provide financial advice on strategic objectives.
• Support risk management, internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience, or an associate’s degree and at least 7 years of experience in accounting, auditing, operations, or financial institutions.
• At least 5 years of corporate development or M&A experience at a bank or investment banking firm supporting banks.
• Comprehensive knowledge of finance and accounting concepts, financial statements, and key balance sheet and income statement drivers.
• Proficiency with accounting and finance analysis, financial modeling, querying, and visualization tools.
• Ability to work in the Buffalo office four days per week in a hybrid arrangement.
• Strong analytical judgment and accountability for the accuracy and quality of work products.
