Associate Broker

Bridge Specialty Group connects retail partners with wholesale insurance markets through specialty brokerage entities across the United States and Europe.

What you will do

• Review insurance applications, submissions, inspection reports, insurance maps, and loss runs to evaluate risk factors and coverage needs.
• Analyze company records, premiums, terms, potential catastrophe losses, and excessive coverage exposure.
• Complete broker documentation, obtain written quotes and binders, issue policies, make state filings, and ensure applicable taxes are paid.
• Review and qualify risks submitted by producers, issue indications, quotes, and binders, and coordinate inspections when needed.
• Develop carrier, brokerage, and retail agency relationships to place risks, generate new business, and grow a book of business.
• Train and guide processors and assistants while reviewing submissions for accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

• P&C state license required.
• Five years of insurance experience, including two years as an underwriting assistant, preferred.
• Experience with an excess and surplus lines underwriting agency or company.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and exceptional telephone demeanor.
• Thorough familiarity with applicable ISO manuals, forms, rating plans, policy forms, coverages, exclusions, conditions, and terms.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
