Commercial Portfolio Manager II

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of commercial customers in partnership with Relationship Managers.
• Service, deepen, and retain profitable customer relationships while evaluating business risks and opportunities.
• Own credit quality, risk monitoring, risk ratings, underwriting quality, and portfolio administration.
• Prepare written credit analyses and present proposed credit actions to senior loan committees and management.
• Analyze portfolio trends, identify opportunities, and maintain knowledge of market and industry developments.
• Collaborate with team leaders, Relationship Managers, regional commercial management, and regional credit officers while mentoring junior colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in commercial banking.
• Experience with credit products, risk assessment, debt structuring, portfolio administration, and underwriting.
• Ability to interact professionally with senior leadership, clients, and prospects.
• Ability to work in the Houston office environment.

• Formal credit training.
• In-depth knowledge of credit products, risk assessment, and debt structuring.
