Chiller Technician (HVAC)

Location: Reno, Nevada; field-based work conducted onsite at customer locations

Salary: $34.37–$65.12 per hour

What you will do

• Repair, troubleshoot, assemble, maintain, inspect, start up, commission, and service chillers rated at 50 tons and above.
• Perform onsite work at hospitals, arenas, casinos, shopping malls, offices, manufacturing facilities, educational institutions, and other customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair chiller equipment and HVAC systems using software, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, customers, and internal or external partners on installations, retrofits, repairs, materials, and scheduling.
• Maintain strict safety standards and document the use, condition, and accountability of company assets.
• Mentor team members and work overtime or occasional overnight assignments as business needs require.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of HVAC experience, with chiller repair and troubleshooting experience.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with handheld computers such as smartphones and iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions within the previous three years.
• Ability to perform field-based, onsite customer work in the Reno, Nevada market.
