Chilled Water Operator II

Location: Onsite at 6003 Pershing Ave., Orlando, FL 32822, USA. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application. No employment visa sponsorship is available.

Salary: $26.159–$34.806 per hour, with structured step progression and performance-based increases every six months.

What you will do

• Operate, service, maintain, and monitor chilled water production equipment, water treatment systems, metering, instrumentation, and control devices.
• Operate primary and secondary loops, Energy Delivery Stations, heat exchangers, pressure reducing valves, and related plant equipment.
• Monitor computerized control systems, create operational trends and daily efficiency reports, and recommend improvements.
• Support mechanics and maintenance staff with equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, plant restoration, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Start and stop equipment, make emergency operating decisions, and troubleshoot system faults and complex irregularities.
• Participate in emergency response for spills, fires, hurricanes, and other incidents, including 24/7 call-out rotation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least four years of experience operating large chillers, chilled water systems, or similar industrial equipment; approved HVAC apprenticeship or technical training may substitute for two years.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant Handling Certification, or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License and authorization to work in the United States are required.
• Working knowledge of mechanical maintenance, instrumentation, computerized controls, automation systems, equipment manuals, blueprints, flow charts, and technical data.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined areas, handle physical plant duties, work overtime and emergency call-outs, and respond in inclement weather.

Nice to have

• Continuing education in air conditioning, electrical systems, or automated controls.
• Experience with Siemens Insight, Desigo, electronic logging interfaces, security monitoring software, and Microsoft Office.
