Facilities HVAC Technician I (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite work involving ladders, heights of 80+ feet, lifting up to 50 pounds, and physical maintenance activities.

Salary: $22–$33 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain and repair HVAC and other mechanical systems across facilities and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and support commissioning, operation, and maintenance activities.
• Work with mechanical distribution systems, load balancing, single-line diagrams, design documentation, and construction drawings.
• Support construction bid solicitation, contractor selection, construction management, permitting, and QA/QC activities.
• Maintain grounding and bonding for electrical and mechanical systems while following health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Excellent working knowledge of heating and cooling systems.
• At least 5 years of construction-industry experience working with mechanical systems and other trades.
• Experience maintaining, repairing, and servicing HVAC systems and troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
• Valid California state driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work onsite in Long Beach, including at heights of 80+ feet, on ladders, and while lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to squat, stoop, kneel, and work with a tool belt while complying with health and safety regulations.

Nice to have

• C-20 HVAC license.
