Commercial Credit Lead, C&I, SVP

What you will do

• Underwrite new commercial credit requests, material modifications, restructurings, and renewals through approval and throughout the life of each loan.
• Monitor existing commercial portfolios through annual reviews, covenant monitoring, interim updates, problem-loan management, and early-warning indicators.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, collateral, guarantors, industry research, credit reports, and other due diligence materials.
• Build cash-flow analyses, financial models, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, and scenario analyses.
• Recommend risk ratings, transaction structures, terms, conditions, collateral, and guarantors.
• Lead transaction execution teams and collaborate with relationship managers, risk officers, clients, and credit committees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, plus 7 years of experience in complex credit underwriting, specialty underwriting, or complex financial analysis; alternatively, 11 years of combined higher education and work experience including 7 relevant years.
• Strong financial modeling, credit analysis, ratio interpretation, trend analysis, and risk assessment skills.
• Experience with legal documentation, transaction structuring, and negotiating credit-related legal documents.
• Understanding of commercial credit regulations, credit policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking, organization, accuracy, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with teams, build client relationships, and use Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, or Bloomberg.
