Commercial Loan Closing Specialist

Location: Columbus, Ohio; office workplace. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Salary: $57,000–$113,000 annual base compensation, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end closing process for commercial loan transactions.
• Review deal structures, credit approvals, legal documentation, collateral acceptability, and final closing conditions.
• Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, legal teams, underwriters, relationship managers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, including Flood and OFAC requirements, as well as applicable industry standards.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve complex lending issues while assessing and mitigating transaction risks.
• Implement quality controls and process improvements to ensure accurate, complete, and timely closings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5 or more years of commercial banking loan administration experience.
• Experience reviewing credit approvals and draft loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple loan transactions, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.
