Senior Manager, FP&A (AI)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $176,400–$264,600 annually, plus performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and run the annual company-wide budget, headcount plan, monthly budget-versus-actuals process, and rolling reforecast.
• Own the headcount plan of record and incremental headcount approval process.
• Prepare executive and board reporting that explains financial changes, implications, and recommended actions.
• Partner with Accounting to connect FP&A with the close, chart of accounts, ERP, and cash-to-GAAP reporting.
• Design spend governance processes and model cash and accounting impacts of partnerships, program launches, and financing events.
• Own FP&A systems and data, implement a planning platform, and adopt AI tooling to improve speed, flexibility, and accuracy.

Requirements

• 7+ years of finance experience, including 3+ years in FP&A at a scaled technology company.
• Experience working at a public technology company or supporting IPO readiness.
• GAAP fluency across all three financial statements, with the ability to move between cash and GAAP views.
• Hands-on experience with planning platforms such as Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning, or Oracle Hyperion and their ERP integrations.
• Ability to drive company-wide planning processes, build cross-functional alignment, communicate clearly, and hold teams accountable.
• Ability to combine detailed variance analysis with clear leadership-level business judgment.

Nice to have

• Experience building or managing a high-performance FP&A team.
• Led a planning software implementation.
• IPO or IPO preparation experience.
• Experience in AI, hardware, automotive, or other hard-tech businesses.
• Owned a company headcount plan in partnership with People or Talent.
