HVAC/Controls Technician

Location: Miramar, Florida, United States. Field-based role with work conducted on-site at customer locations; occasional overtime and overnight stays may be required.

Salary: $28.64–$44.31 per hour.

What you will do

• Start and commission new HVAC and environmental-control systems.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electronic, mechanical, refrigeration, airflow, and direct digital control systems.
• Service assigned equipment and systems at customer locations while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with team leaders and customers to plan installations, repairs, materials, and on-site work.
• Maintain current knowledge of Trane direct digital control products, including installation, operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain accurate records of company-issued and procured assets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 3–5 years of HVAC or controls experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with handheld devices such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions within the previous three years.
• Flexibility to work overtime and occasional overnight stays as business needs require.

Nice to have

• Technical school or formal technical training.
• Previous experience with direct digital control systems.
• EPA certification.
